BayBatt professor discusses the role of storage at TenneT Wissensforum

Inspiring knowledge exchange, networking and get-together from politics, business, science and society - BayBatt was part of the premiere of the new TenneT verNetzt (TenneT connects) format at the Bayreuth campus.
As part of a panel discussion with TenneT COO Tim Meyerjürgens, BayBatt member Prof. Dr. Marie-Louise Arlt discussed the role of storage for future electricity systems. Other participants in the panel discussion were Prof. Dr. Dieter Brüggemann (Director of the Center for Energy Technology at the University of Bayreuth and CEO of the Future Energy Lab) and Dr. Johanna Bronisch (Head of Energy Innovation at UnternehmerTUM's Digital Hub Mobility). The discussion covered the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition as well as the importance of power grids as the backbone of the economy.
The evening ended with an informal discussion, during which around 200 guests took the opportunity to make new contacts.
