First Bavarian Battery Networking Conference

The first Bavarian Battery Networking Confernece took place in Nuremberg on July 25. Organized by Bayern Innovativ GmbH and supported by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, experts, researchers, companies and decision-makers from the battery industry met at Nuremberg's Castle to discuss the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in battery technology and to network.
With around 200 participants from industry, science and politics, the congress was very well attended and BayBatt was well represented with presentations, participants and an information stand.
In a panel discussion in the morning, Minister of State Hubert Aiwanger, Christian Lisiecki (Director of GROB-WERKE GmbH), Dr. Michael Krausa (Managing Director of KLiB e.V.), Prof. Dr. Maximilian Fichtner (Director of the Helmholtz Institute Ulm and spokesperson for the POLiS Cluster of Excellence) and Uwe Seidel (Overall Project Manager, VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH) discussed the prospects for battery cell production in Bavaria, Germany and Europe.
In four parallel sessions in the afternoon, the topics of innovation fields of battery research, networking for future value chains, circular economy battery technology and module packaging and battery assembly were presented and discussed.
